2025 Cuenca, Spain Women’s Sport Climbing Trip
7 days, 8 nights, and WAY too many rocks to climb!
Six of the seven days were spent climbing at different crags in the area. The trip was open to all levels and varied outdoor experience and brought together an incredible group of women climbing in the 5.8–5.11 range.
Early in the trip, the guides offered an anchor-cleaning refresher and workshop for those newer to climbing outside, along with one-on-one belay coaching and dedicated time to practice. Followed by technique workshops and coaching. By the end of the week, it was inspiring to see everyone feeling more comfortable, confident, and willing to push their limits.
Each day out was followed by shared meals; both at local spots and cooked together at home, depending on the group’s energy and preferences, getting to experience the local community. We group tripped at grocery stores to stock up on crag snacks and meals.
Our shared accommodation was two apartments, side by side, walking distance from the historic town, crags, stores, coffee and grocery. We had morning coffee runs for yummy spanish lattes and shared breakfast and packing lunch to start off the day.
On our rest day, we shared coffee, explored the historic town of Cuenca, sat down for a five-course lunch, jumped in the river, rested, and ended the night at the sauna.
Amazing connections, beautiful views, real climbing growth, and lifelong memories!!
